Assignment
In the past, states were the most important actors on the world stage. However, globalization has given rise to other important entities. International organizations (such as the United Nations, NATO, the International Monetary Fund, and the EU) and multinational corporations (such as Walmart and Starbucks) have grown in influence. In light of this trend, in a term paper no longer than 6 pages, assess the impact of
international organizations and multinational corporations on on the quality of life in developing countries.
Support your thesis with evidence. You do not need to address both sides of the issues. Cite at least 4 sources in your paper. Your paper should consist of (1) an introduction with an analytical thesis, (2) background information about how international organizations and multinational corporations operate, and (3) your analysis of whether
these organizations have a negative impact on the quality of life in developing countries.
