|Ben Cornelius is currently a professor of mathematics at Oregon Institute of Technology. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He taught high school mathematics in Sao Paulo, Brazil and San Diego CA before coming to OIT in 1980. In 1991-1992 he also spent a sabbatical year teaching math at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore, and spent spring semester 2009 teaching at Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois.
Ben has been a reader for nine years and a table leader for eight years with Advanced Placement Calculus. He has presented numerous Saturday workshops on AP Calculus in California,
|Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Arizona, Alaska, Maine and the annual AP Conference, as well as weeklong Summer Institutes (AB and BC levels) at Southern Oregon University, Montana State-Billings, Cal State - Sacramento, Las Vegas NV, Honolulu HI, Vancouver, Tacoma and Bellevue WA, Cherry Creek CO and the University of Utah - Salt Lake City. He has also completed a 3-day presentation in Dakar Senegal for math teachers at international schools in West Africa and two day AB and BC workshops in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Bangkok, Thailand.|
