Michael Levi MICHAEL LEVI is Associate Professor of Music at the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, where he directs the Chamber Singers and Men’s Glee Club, teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Music Theory, Music History, Music Education, Jazz Studies and supervises student teachers. He has also taught in the Williamsville and Depew Public School Districts near Buffalo, New York. He holds a B.A. in Music Theory from Fredonia State College, and an M.A. in Composition and Ph.D. in Music Education from the University at Buffalo. He has served on the Artistic Faculty and Administrative Staff of the New York
​State Summer School of the Arts in Choral Studies. Active as a guest conductor and clinician, Dr. Levi’s compositions and arrangements have been published by: Alliance Music, CPP Belwin, E. C. Schirmer, E. Henry David, BriLee Music, Lawson-Gould and Northfield Press. In addition, Dr. Levi serves a consultant to the ​College Board in the Advanced Placement program, conducting workshops and summer institutes for high school music teachers. He was co-editor of the Vertical Teams in the Arts: Music Theory publication. Dr. Levi is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, American Choral Directors Association, International Association of Jazz Educators, College Music Society and the New York State Choral Directors Guild.
